Synthesis, Complexation and Applications of Macrocylic Tetraaza

Most of the macrocyclic complexes were obtained by a template reaction. In the present work, we focus primarily on the synthesis of the macrocyclic complex via two separate reactions. Firstly, the synthesis of the protonated macrocyclic tetraaza was first performed, followed by the complexation reaction. Since the macrocyclic ligand is protonated, we may vary its counter anion. However, the complexation reaction with the protonated form of the tetraaza macrocycle is still not widely reported. Therefore, we have conducted further studies on the complexation reaction using various transition metals.

    Assalamualaikum. Izinkan sy bertanya, sekiranya betul anggapan sy, protonated macrocyclic tetraaza merupakan satu bentuk ligan di mana H pada N tetraaza masih belum deprotonated by base. Boleh sy tahu, kenapa Dr tak deprotonate ligand dgn menambahkan bes sebelum buat complexation dgn metal. Terima kasih atas perhatian & maklumbalas (:
